Peer Review
General aspects of editorial policy
The submission of proposals for book evaluation is subject to certain guidelines.
Any work approved for publication by this publisher will have a contract with the authors. The proposals that are accepted will be published electronically as a book or monograph with its corresponding ISBN. Notwithstanding this, the publisher, if it considers printing the texts on paper, could do so depending on its financial status.
If the material has more than one author, a single person will be named who will have communication and who will reach agreements with Editorial Tercer Sol.
Peer Review. All the production and publication of books, by Editorial Tercer Sol, will come from the evaluation of the proposals which, in this case, will be a “double blind” evaluation, both in formal and content aspects.
The procedure begins with sending the proposal to the Publisher after registration, the editorial board determines if it recognizes them as relevant and if it complies with the guidelines managed by the publisher. If it meets these prerequisites, it is sent to the reviewers who will be in charge of evaluating the originals. These experts are researchers, teachers and professionals from different specialized academic areas and external to the publishing entity. Likewise, they will not know the name of the author of the text, nor will the author know the evaluators, in addition, they will ensure that there is no conflict of interest.
The period for the evaluation will be up to 40 days, depending on the availability of the selected evaluators. Evaluators will receive an invitation from the publisher Tercer Sol through the Open Monograph Press (OMP) platform to be part of the process that will arrive with a notice to their emails. When the invitation is accepted, evaluators will have access to the full text and evaluation format. But first, they will have to declare that they do not incur any conflict of interest. This process includes review by external peers independent of the publisher and experts on each topic.
The evaluators will communicate their decision to the Editorial Committee. The name of the evaluators will be reserved. At the end of the evaluations, the opinions will be:
The publication of the text is approved;
The publication is approved based on the reviewers' observations;
Publication of the proposal is rejected.
Acceptance of the book. Once you have gone through the evaluation procedure, if there are observations that the author has to address, you will be given 60 days to make them. If you do not present the book with the corresponding corrections within the deadline, the contractual situation with the authors will resolve it. the Editorial Committee.
If the work has been approved for publication by the evaluators, it goes to the editorial committee, which will determine as a final decision whether it is published or rejected. The final ruling (publication or rejection) will be communicated by direct notification (email), and the date of publication will also be sent to you.
